Why choose Unrefined?

Billington's Unrefined sugars are simply produced to lock in, rather that refine out, the natural molasses of the sugar cane.

As all good chefs and cooks know, not all brown sugars are the same. Some are simply white refined sugar with molasses syrup added in to give the appearance and colour of brown sugar. This process does not give the depth of flavour and rich colour of unrefined sugars.
