Billington's Taste London's treats!

This June, the Billington’s team took part in one of London’s most popular summer events – the Taste of London Show at Regent’s Park in London.

The four day show attracted over 30,000 visitors, who came to sample signature dishes from 40 of London’s most prestigious restaurants.

Billington’s had a fabulous stand dedicated to home baking, where the team encouraged visitors to sample the delicious Billington’s Muscovado and Molasses sugars. Goodie bags with recipe leaflets, Billington’s Golden Granulated sugar and Light Muscovado fudge were distributed to all who visited the stand. As at the Good Food Show, many visitors popped back to the stand for more of our delicious fudge for the trip home!

Billington’s also provided the sugar for a charity bake-off run by ‘The Critz,’ a teashop at the show staffed entirely by restaurant critics. The critics battled against top chefs, including Michel Roux Jr and Giorgio Locatelli for best fruit cake. The cakes were later sold at ‘The Critz’ stand with all proceeds going to two food-related charities; Action Against Hunger and the Ark Foundation.
