Cheery Almond Chocolates
Sweets and chocolates have long been favourite Valentine gifts and nowadays chocolates are the most popular Valentine choice. Scientists believe chocolate arouses the same feelings as when we are in love! These home made chocolates are not only free from artificial colours and preservatives but taste delicious and will make a delightful Valentine present. They will keep in the refrigerator for up to a week.

How to Prepare
Put all the ingredients except the chocolate into a small heavy pan and heat gently, stirring until the ingredients bind together and become shiny. Remove from the heat and cool until comfortable to handle. Break off small pieces of the mixture and roll into small balls. Chill for a few hours until firm. Melt the chocolate and dip each ball, using a skewer or toothpick, until completely covered in chocolate. Leave on a piece of non-stick baking paper or greaseproof paper to set. Place the chocolates in small paper or foil cases.
