Classic Mulled Wine

Method

  1. In a large heavy based pan, add the orange, Light Muscovado Sugar, spices, vanilla and add one bottle of red wine. Heat gently, stirring once or twice, until the sugar has dissolved, then continue heating gently for another 15 minutes.
  2. Stir in the rest of the wine, Cointreau or brandy and fruits, and gentle simmer for another few minutes. Serve in heatproof glasses.
