French Toast Sticks

This unbelievably scrumptious finger breakfast is perfect for busy workers and stay-at-homers. Finger-licking great.

  1. Cut each slice of bread into sticks.
  2. Mix together the eggs, milk and a pinch of salt in a large bowl.
  3. Mix together the golden caster sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and put to one side.
  4. Heat the butter in a large pan over a medium heat.
  5. Roll the bread sticks in the egg mixture and shake off the excess. Place the sticks in the pan.
  6. Cook on each side, turning the slices to cook them evenly until golden.
  7. Roll immediately in the cinnamon sugar mixture and serve.
